The Control Group (TCG) is entering an exciting growth phase in 2019, and we are looking for a Front End Web Developer, with a strong focus on Marketing, to join our award-winning team. You will already have strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery. You are outgoing, fun and unafraid to try out innovative and creative marketing ideas and have a strong passion to continuously learn and grow. You are marketing minded and/or have a keen interest to learn how marketing can influence user behavior. You relish the freedom to solve challenges with out-of-the-box thinking.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Organize, build, maintain, optimize and split-test company websites
  • Brainstorm ideas for A/B split testing, marketing/sales strategies and increasing overall conversion rates across all products.
  • Build and heavily optimize customer facing sales funnels & landing pages
  • Code website page variations for split-testing
  • Work closely with designers to interpret designers’ vision, translate into clean code and ensure final product is consistent with designs
  • Cross browser/platform testing to ensure code functions properly on all devices
  • Maintain quality and consistency of code on all sales funnels and SEO sites
  • Maintain graphic standards and consistent branding throughout the product’s interface
  • Create desktop and mobile user interfaces utilizing HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Steer the direction of projects with their own development style
  • Other duties as required


  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Front End Web Development with strong coding skills using technologies listed below
  • Must be marketing minded with a keen interest in marketing/sales tactics that influence user behavior and interactions
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in HTML and CSS
  • Intermediate skills in Javascript and JS libraries such as jQuery
  • Must have skills using Front End build tools such as GULP (or GRUNT), GULP preferred
  • Must be familiar with Adobe Photoshop, and XD
  • Knowledge of responsive layout for mobile browsers & cross browser support
  • Basic understanding of GIT or other versioning software
  • Basic understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, (LESS strongly preferred)
  • Some experience working with conversion rate optimization is strongly desired
  • Some experience or knowledge of A/B Testing is a plus
  • Excited to learn new things and share knowledge and best practices with others
  • High sense of urgency, motivation and positivity, strong work ethic and pride in one's work
